You likely used too much of the Low Moisture-No Rinse Carpet Shampoo. The dry, crunchy feeling will dissipate after a few days of normal wear and usage. To avoid this from happening again, we would recommend using less. Try not to use more than 1 bottle of diluted solution per 250 sq. ft.
When removing the bottle there will be cleaning solution left in the housing. This is a design feature, not a flaw. Also always make sure the "duck bill" valve inside the cap is securely fastened.
