What do the lights on the battery mean?
Solid White LED: Battery pack is fully charged.
LED pulses yellow: 0 - 75% charged.
LED pulses green: 75% - 100% charged.
How do I charge the battery and how long does it take to charge?
To charge the battery for the IP3000 Series, place your vacuum on the Auto-Empty Dock. The batteries come with DC jack capabilities, but right out of box they can only be charged on the Auto-Empty Dock.
To charge the battery for the IP1000 Series, plug the charger included in your box into the battery. To charge the battery or extra batteries off the Dock, you can purchase a charging cord on SharkClean.com with the sku name:XCHRIP1000.
A full charge takes approximately 6 hours.
Note: When purchasing an extra battery online (XBATR640US), a charging cord will come in the box.
How long will the battery run?
The initial charge on the battery pack (out of the box) is approximately 30%. Charge the battery completely before first use.
During first use, run the battery down until it is completely out of power. This will condition the battery.
Runtimes are based on a new, fully charged battery. Like all lithium-ion products, the battery will naturally decrease in capacity over time. In ECO mode, the battery can achieve up to 70 minutes of runtime.
What if the battery is warm to the touch or indicates that it's too warm to charge?
The battery may feel warm during use. This is normal, as batteries increase in temperature slightly during discharge.
If the battery feels uncomfortably warm, stop using the vacuum and allow the battery to cool.
For IP3000 Series, dock your vacuum on the Auto-Empty Dock.
For IP1000, plug the charging cord into the port on the battery.
Leave the battery plugged in and charging will resume automatically when the battery has reached a normal temperature. If the battery is too warm after use, the charger will pause until the battery cools before it begins charging.

In all settings, for an added boost of suction power, press the suction power mode button to toggle between ECO, DETECT, and Boost modes. To save battery power, select ECO mode. For everyday cleaning, optimized runtime, and power, select DETECT mode. For an extra burst of power, select Boost mode.
How do I store my vacuum?
Store your vacuum securely and out of reach of children or pets.
On the IP3000 Series, you can dock your vacuum on the Auto-Empty Dock for storage and charging.
Why is my vacuum hard to push and pull on carpets or rugs?
If you're finding it difficult to push and pull the vacuum on carpets, this is likely due to the strong suction power of your unit. To make it easier, you can switch to Eco Mode by using the trigger under the handheld.
Rest assured, Eco Mode still delivers powerful suction to meet your cleaning needs while being gentler on your carpets and rugs while being easier to maneuver.
What if I experience small static shocks while vacuuming?
Certain dry conditions in winter or dry desert areas may cause common static electricity to build up in the vacuum, producing small shocks like what you might experience from contact with doorknobs, wool sweaters, or blankets. This is harmless. To avoid this, we recommend moisturizing your hands and/or removing wool socks or sweaters prior to vacuuming.
What does the light on the nozzle mean?
